Danilo Brenes

 

 

I am a native of Monteverde Costa Rica, and have lived amongst its unique biodiversity researching it, observing it, and loving it. I was invited to learn English and travel to Canada and USA to learn more.  

 

 

I started my career as a research assistant

in the study of fruit eating birds and their use of forest fragments. I have also been part of a team studying the Three-wattled Bellbird since 1992.

 

 

I am in my 16th year of being a Naturalist Guide where I have had the opportunity to educate others in both English and Spanish about this fragile ecosystem. I currently guide in the Monteverde area and my walks explore the natural history of the forest.
